PERMACULTURE HAVEN
At Sweet Bocas, each experience is meticulously crafted from the bounty of our lush greenhouses and farm, celebrating the rich produce cultivated on-site. From estate harvested honey to the crisp freshness of kale, microgreens, cucumbers, and tomatoes, every ingredient reflects the vibrant flavors of our region.
Our farm-to-table philosophy goes beyond freshness, emphasizing responsible sourcing and a holistic food production approach. Eggs from our free-roaming chickens add a delightful touch, showcasing our commitment to ethical practices. Join us at Sweet Bocas to savor permaculture living—where every dish narrates a story of sustainability, flavor, and a profound connection to the natural world.
EDGAR HERNÁNDEZ
Chef Edgar Hernández has always lived in a world centered around food. From a young age, he associated aromas and flavors with moments of joy, like family dinners or festive celebrations. His fascination with food began early, vividly recalling how he would ask his father to roll down the car windows just to catch the scent of street-side “fritangas" (fried foods). Driven by a passion for culinary creation, Edgar started as a home cook, preparing meals for his family and friends.
For Edgar, food is a gateway to culture and storytelling. Every meal is an opportunity to immerse himself in the nuances of flavors, textures, colors, and aromas. He believes that these elements together create unique, memorable experiences—like the comforting familiarity of a grandmother's kitchen. His cooking is imbued with these stories: the heritage behind recipes, the culture of the people who crafted them, and the moments shared at the table.
"Food is a story—of culture, heritage, and moments shared. Through cooking, I bring those stories to life, creating experiences that linger beyond the last bite."
